Warm Porridge with Berries & Nuts
A simple, yet delicious low-sugar breakfast.
Cook Time: 15 - 20 min
Approx Cost: $1.25 per person
1 cup rolled oats
2 cups water
½ - 1 cup almond milk (or preferred milk)
1 tsp cinnamon (or to taste)
2/3 cup raspberries (fresh or frozen)
2 tsp LSA or sliced almonds
1 tsp maple syrup
Put oats & water in a small pan, bring to the boil.
Reduce heat to a simmer and add half the milk and cinnamon
Simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring regularly and adding rest of milk as needed
Remove from heat when porridge is smooth (not gloopy) and spoon into bowls.
Top with raspberries (mix in if frozen), LSA or almonds and maple syrup
